REDDITCH, WORCESTER / AGILITYPR.NEWS / December 09, 2024 / The Big Give: Software provider holds toy drive for local charities
A leading provider of software solutions for the care industry is holding a toy drive to help every child in its local community experience the magic of Christmas.
The home care management app developer, Unique IQ, is urging local residents to sort out their toy storage and donate any new or pre-loved toys at marked drop-off locations as part of The Big Give. Toys will then be distributed between two charity partners: The Salvation Army and Redditch-based Friends of Isaac’s Food Bank CIC.
Pre-loved toys will be distributed to The Salvation Army’s Redditch branch and sold to raise vital funds to help the unhoused, low-income and vulnerable populations. New and packaged toys will be shared between both charities.
Toy donors are being asked to donate their spare toys by 13th of December so that shoppers have enough time to buy the toys from The Salvation Army’s shop.
David Lynes, Founder and CEO of Unique IQ, said:
“We would love for as many people from our local community as possible to participate in The Big Give. It would be wonderful to give as many children and families the opportunity to experience the joy of Christmas this year
This initiative highlights both the power of community spirit and business collaboration, as the contributions of pre-loved and new toys will directly support vulnerable populations through The Salvation Army and Friends of Isaac’s Food Bank.
“It’s also a wonderful reminder that when we come together, we can bring hope and happiness to those who need it most."
Unique IQ has already united a team of local businesses that have vowed to help disadvantaged families this Christmas. A huge thank you goes out to: Adcock, Birmingham Mortgage Advice, Charl Chapman Beauty Studios, Eaton, John Baylis Plumbing & Heating, Make Strides, Redditch Mortgage Advice, Surftech IT, Tefore Kitchens and Trade Choice Carpet & Flooring.
Other local businesses are also encouraged to donate and sign up as drop-off points for donations. They can get in touch with Gemma at Unique IQ via gemma.ordidge@uniqueiq.co.uk if they would like to help out.
Those wanting to help but are unable to buy physical toys can also donate via GoFundMe here: https://gofund.me/70e95f4b
