The Flavours of Lagos on Edinburgh’s Doorsteps: Bongou Cafe Introduces New Jollof Rice Box on Deliveroo

The Jollof Rice Box features Bongou’s signature smoky jollof rice, accompanied by a flavourful chicken kebab, fried plantains (known as "Do-Do"), and a fresh side salad. Priced at £15, this meal is ideal for a satisfying solo experience that brings together the hallmark tastes of Nigerian cuisine.

It captures the festive essence of Lagos – famously dubbed “the party city” – to bring a delicious and authentic experience for those craving the warmth and communal joy of Nigerian gatherings.

Originally established as a barbecue catering business in Nigeria in 2014, Bongou was brought to Edinburgh in 2018. Tosin sought to infuse Edinburgh’s dining landscape with the rich, lively flavours of Lagos.
