The West End comes to Chichester on 30 July 2021 ‘A Night at the Musicals’

UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / May 10, 2021 / Bel events is today announcing a new outdoor summer event for Priory Park in Chichester on Friday 30 July 2021.  



Pack up a picnic hamper and come along with friends and family to enjoy a wonderful evening listening to some of the ‘best loved’ songs from London’s Musical Theatreland. Accompanied by London’s Orion Orchestra it promises to be a fantastic evening in the heart of Chichester with performances of popular songs from leading shows including:


Les Misérables, My Fair Lady, The Sound of Music, Chess, Oliver, South Pacific, Wicked and The Greatest Showman


Sung by some of the leading singers from the West End including:


Jenna Lee James, who, as well as working extensively as a leading artist in the West end and on tours in the UK, has just finished touring the world with Hugh Jackman as the featured vocalist on his world Arena Tour. 


Cassidy Janson, who can currently be seen playing Anna Hathaway in Max Martin’s debut musical ‘& Juliet’ at The Shaftesbury Theatre, London for which she won an Olivier award. Cassidy was also a member of the original London cast of Wicked and played standby for Elphaba and performed the role of Florence in Chess for English National Opera at the Coliseum with Michael Ball and Alexandra Burke. 


Jeff Nicholson who has performed in Les Misérables and been a vocalist on feature films including Sweeney Todd (Tim Burton), Mamma Mia, Pirates of the Caribbean and How to Train your Dragon.


Matt Ford has made several concert appearances including at The Royal Festival Hall and Symphony Hall with the London Concert Orchestra (Big Band Broadway, with Martin & Shirlie Kemp), The National Concert Hall in Dublin with the RTE Concert Orchestra (A Night at the Oscars), and Philharmonic Hall in Liverpool, with the Royal Liverpool Philharmonic Orchestra (Songs from the Musicals).


Priory Park in Chichester, West Sussex has a rich heritage and is bordered by the medieval city walls which are built upon the original Roman foundations. The park contains the Guildhall and the remains of Chichester Castle.

Tickets for ‘A Night at the Musicals’ - adults £40 and children (5-13) £20. Priority Viewing tickets are also available adults £50 and children (5-13) £25.


Tickets for ‘UK Queen’ - adults £30, children (5-13) £15. Priority Viewing Tickets Adults £40 and Children (5-13) £20.


The concerts are organised by the UK outdoor event and concert specialists Bel Events, who also arrange the popular summer Picnic concerts at Stansted Park in Hampshire and at The Three Counties Showground in Malvern.

For your information, Priory Park is not accessible via car but by foot only. We would recommend that parking should be in Northgate, Chichester PO19 6AA.
