The Wonderer: Improving our Balancing Act

CHARLESTON, SC / AGILITYPR.NEWS / November 02, 2021 /

What are the main three things adults do? We work, exercise, and socialize. Time is the most powerful currency, and balancing it is no easy feat. The pandemic has drastically shifted our daily schedules, and navigating this new world has exposed the importance of how we spend our time. Many of us spend our time aiming to appease others instead of empowering ourselves and being confident in our passions. Our perspectives are overdue for a change from acceptance to wonder. It’s time to realize what we value and where our passions lie.

The Wonderer in Charleston is a true departure from the norm, designed for those seeking a more meaningful balance between social connection, professional life and personal wellness. Nestled in downtown Charleston’s Upper Peninsula, The Wonderer was created with the intention to help its members consolidate their daily needs in one fully integrated space. More than a lifestyle club, The Wonderer is a second home that puts community before business. Beau Burns founded The Wonderer to create an authentic experience for open-minded individuals seeking real connection and growth. Through his travels and experiences, Beau has learned the importance of true wellness, especially throughout the three things we do most: work, exercise, and socialization.

The Wonderer boasts a beautiful campus that allows you to work, achieve wellness goals and foster connections with a like-minded community all in one place. Working alone or with a team? Make work more relaxing with indoor and outdoor workspaces. Start your day off right with all day breakfast and a smoothie café. When it’s time to take a break from work, you can head over to a variety of fitness classes or take a dip in the pool and get your heart pumping. For lunch, you can visit one of two in-house restaurants to enjoy tasty food intentioned to nourish the body. After finishing the workday you can close your computer and immediately start your evening surrounded by friends. The Wonderer offers many types of events with a focus on wellness, networking, and fun ways to grow your tribe with fellow “wonderers.”

Beau Burns’ inspiration for The Wonderer was born from his travels. Through leaving his corporate job behind and traveling the world, Beau realized the importance of community, mindfulness, and purposeful wellness. Instead of spending all of our time behind our screens, Beau wanted to create a space that encourages empowerment to create a more meaningful normal. Beau’s vision included a non-pretentious place where members can be vulnerable and find trust in the community around them.

Beau has big plans for The Wonderer. In the next few months, members can look forward to comprehensive wellness programs that include meal plans, nutritional classes, holistic workshops, and even screenings of educational documentaries like “Kiss the Ground,” to create a “new form of modern medicine.” There will also be corporate and social events, highlighting the key tenet of The Wonderer, which is balance across all aspects of life. Imagine a world where you can join a community that is 100% reciprocal in purpose and meaning. More than wellness, more than work, more than fitness, The Wonderer is an investment in one’s quality of life.
