CHARLOTTE, NC / AGILITYPR.NEWS / August 26, 2021 / Toter Voting Link: http://wshe.es/bbRhp8eA

Public voting opened for NC Chamber’s statewide manufacturing contest

Today, the NC Chamber announced Statesville, NC-based Toter among 68 companies nominated for the second annual “Coolest Thing Made in NC” awards. To celebrate one of North Carolina's most economically vital and enduring industries, the online competition solicits the public to nominate and vote for their favorite product manufactured in North Carolina.

During the 1960s, Toter introduced its first automated cart system for curbside garbage collection. Since then, the company has enjoyed a well-earned reputation as the leading manufacturer of two-wheeled plastic carts for curbside automated waste, recycling, and organics collection for municipalities, private waste haulers, and recyclers.

Produced using a patented, stress-free molding technology known as Advanced Rotational Molding, Toter carts are tougher and more durable than injection molded carts. They typically last twice as long as injection molded carts. Chances are, your town’s residents have transported Toter® carts to their curbs on garbage and recycling days.

To vote, go to coolestthingmadeinnc.com. Anyone can vote in the contest, but entries are limited to one vote per valid email address per day.

Round 1 of voting ends on Tuesday, August 31. Semifinalists are announced on September 2 and move to Round 2. All vote tallies are reset, and Round 2 of voting begins. The winning product will be revealed on October 1, National Manufacturing (MFG) Day.

Toter is a division of Charlotte-based Wastequip, the leading North American manufacturer of waste handling equipment. Toter manufactures a wide range of products — caster carts, organics carts, stationary containers, front-load containers, tilt trucks, cart lifters and more — for diverse markets.
