TUCSON, AZ / AGILITYPR.NEWS / September 09, 2025 / TFCU’s Robyn Austin, JA 2025 Volunteer of the Year, continues her commitment to financial readiness and youth empowerment at Kellond Elementary
Tucson Federal Credit Union (TFCU) is proud to join Junior Achievement of Arizona (JA) in kicking off the 2025–2026 school year at Kellond Elementary’s JA Day on Wednesday, September 17, 2025.
TFCU’s Community Impact Manager, Robyn Austin, along with Katie McKeever from the TFCU Human Resources team, will serve as co-presenters, bringing financial literacy, career exploration, and real-world skills to local students.
The event is part of JA’s long-standing commitment to equip young people with the tools they need to own their economic success. This year, Kellond Elementary will host 19 classrooms and more than 400 students for a day of interactive learning led by community volunteers.
“We are thrilled to partner with Junior Achievement and help spark excitement and confidence in these students,” said TFCU President & CEO Matthew Gaspari. “At TFCU, we believe in empowering future generations with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive.”
JA Days offer volunteers a hands-on opportunity to teach age-appropriate personal finance, entrepreneurship, and work readiness lessons. This year, Junior Achievement has introduced a thoughtfully adjusted four-lesson format, designed to fit within shorter school days while energizing students and volunteers. By staying attentive to the needs of both educators and volunteers, JA continues to create meaningful, manageable programming that benefits everyone involved.
TFCU employees’ involvement with Junior Achievement underscores the credit union’s deep-rooted commitment to its community. It impacts its future by championing financial literacy and inspiring Tucson’s youth to realize their full potential.
