Update for Chinese Toy Safety Standard GB/T 6675 Part 11

BAAR, SWITZERLAND / AGILITYPR.NEWS / February 02, 2026 / SGS, the world’s leading testing, inspection and certification company, has published SafeGuardS 010.26, outlining China’s publication of the updated GB/T 6675 Part 11 toy safety standard for at-home activity toys.

This new standard, ‘Safety of toys – Part 11: Swings, slides and similar activity toys for indoor and outdoor family domestic use’, replaces a former standard published in 2014 and will be implemented on November 1, 2026. This brings safety requirements for these toys in line with other parts of the GB 6675 series of standards. GB/T 6675 Part 11 is largely based on ISO 8124-4, the international safety standard for toys.

Compared with the previous version, GB/T 6675 Part 11 includes major changes applicable to inflatable activity toys, revised and additional definitions of applicable toys, new requirements for construction materials and hardware and updated labeling requirements.

SGS experts publish SafeGuardS to keep stakeholders informed about regulatory changes that could impact their business. SafeGuardS 010.26 provides additional information on the key changes in GB/T 6675 Part 11 compared with the previous version.

Stakeholders are encouraged to refer to the original SafeGuardS 010.26 for more details.
