WAGAMAMA OPENING SOON AT STAR METALS DISTRICT IN ATLANTA

Pan-Asian Restaurant’s First Georgia Location Arrives in West Midtown


ATLANTA (April 6, 2022) — Wagamama, a renowned international restaurant brand featuring fresh, Asian-inspired dishes served in a vibrant, social setting, announces its first Atlanta location will open soon at the newly-built Star Metals District in West Midtown.


“We’re thrilled to bring Wagamama’s modern take on Asian cuisine to the thriving neighborhood of West Midtown,” shares Richard Flaherty, co-CEO of Wagamama USA. “Our engaged, high-energy dining experience perfectly complements Star Metals’ approach to the new urban lifestyle.”

 

The new restaurant is in Star Metals Residences at 1050 Howell Mill Road and boasts more than 3,500 square feet of indoor space plus an expansive private outdoor patio. Inspired by the best of Asia, Wagamama’s menu features a wide variety of cooked-to-order noodle dishes, signature ramens, shareables, fresh juices and craft cocktails. Menu highlights include:


  • Shu’s ‘shiok chicken’ (pictured below) a collaborative dish with Shu Han Lee featuring turmeric, garlic and ginger marinated chicken, coconut and lemon grass rice, pickled slaw and radish, chili, cilantro and lime
  • Pad thai – a flavorful interpretation of a traditional pad thai with chicken and vegetables
  • Chicken katsu curry chicken coated with crispy panko breadcrumbs, smothered in a signature curry sauce
  • Short rib ramen – tender short rib served on the bone with noodles in a rich broth
  • Pork belly + panko apple bao – fluffy Asian bao buns with pork and panko apple
  • Avant Gard’n (vg) – showcasing Wagamama’s approach to vegan, barbecue-glazed seitan is served with a coconut and Sriracha vegan “egg,” grilled shiitake mushrooms and asparagus
  • Steak bulgogi – marinated sirloin steak and miso-fried baby eggplant served on a bed of soba noodles, dressed in a sesame and bulgogi sauce
  • Banana katsu – banana in panko breadcrumbs with a scoop of salted caramel ice cream


Wagamama Atlanta will host an opening preview event to benefit Giving Kitchen. As space will be limited, those interested in attending are encouraged to sign up online to receive an invitation.
