We Can Fix It: Repair Café Lambeth Announces Lambeth Climate Day 2025

UNITED KINGDOM / AGILITYPR.NEWS / September 11, 2025 / Repair Café Lambeth is proud to announce the return of Lambeth Climate Day 2025, taking place on Saturday 4 October, 10am – 1pm at Lambeth Town Hall. Now in its second year, the event will once again bring together residents, community groups, and innovators to showcase the borough’s creativity and commitment to fighting waste and, in doing so, tackling the climate crisis.

Following the success of last year’s inaugural gathering, which drew more than 400 attendees, 17 funders, and 39 local environmental groups, Lambeth Climate Day has become a key date in the local calendar. The event brings together people of all ages and backgrounds to learn, collaborate, and take action.

This year’s programme features a lively mix of exhibition stalls from local environmental organisations alongside practical, hands-on workshops run by Incredible Edible Lambeth CIC, Art4Space CIC, Southstainable CIC, and more. At the heart of the day will be the Driving Net Zero Innovation Pitch Competition, where local organisations will showcase bold ideas to accelerate Lambeth’s path to net zero, with the chance to secure funding for their projects.

True to its mission, Repair Café Lambeth will also bring its own unique flavour to the event, hosting fun repair activities where residents can bring in broken items and work alongside skilled volunteer fixers to give them a second life.

“There are many initiatives which are all about awareness, and that is good - but awareness means little if it's not followed by action. And this is what Lambeth Climate Day is about: action,” said Olga Osuch, Manager of Repair Café Lambeth.

“It shows what’s possible when neighbours come together - fighting waste, sharing skills, and celebrating the amazing creativity of our community. We want people to leave inspired, hopeful, and ready to play their part in building a greener future. And of course, with a newly repaired item in hand!”

The event is open to all and free to attend. Visitors can expect a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere filled with opportunities to learn something new, meet local changemakers, and take part in solutions to some of the biggest challenges of our time. There’s also world-class coffee and delicious cake to tuck into.
