Where To Vegan? Entrepreneur Launches 100% Vegan Restaurant Guide

WHERE TO VEGAN’ created by ex- financial analyst and foodie who struggled to find great vegan places to eat in London.

A passionate new convert to veganism has created a modern, user-friendly vegan restaurant guide after struggling to find 100 percent vegan places to eat in London.

Londoner Hiren Chohan, 27, who is a keen vegan cook and foodie, founded WHERE TO VEGAN because alternative online sites were few and far between as well as ad-ridden, complicated and old fashioned and the alternative for finding great vegan food in London was trawling through travel sites and food blogs.

WHERE TO VEGAN features 100 percent vegan eateries from restaurants to cafés, stalls and food trucks including the likes of Stockwell’s vegan pizzeria, Pickywops , Camden’s cult meat-free kebab hotspot, What the Pitta as well as Unity Diner, the Hoxton eaterie run by vegan celebrity educator and speaker, Ed Winters.

The site includes reviews, location and opening times as well as hand-picked discount vouchers and giveaways. The site has launched with London eateries and will be launching in other cities such as Brighton and Bristol in coming months.

Since vegans eat an entirely plant-based diet and many also avoid any animal derived products WHERE TO VEGAN features an easy-to-use, modern filtering system to help consumers find soy-based, gluten-free and other allergy-specific information in relation to the restaurants as well as information such as whether the establishment serves vegan alcohol, has wifi, parking, outside seating, is accessible to the disabled, takes reservations, does delivery and even whether pets are allowed. The site will also review vegan products.

“Veganism is growing so fast in the UK that when I turned completely vegan I assumed there would be a great online hub or app to help me find 100 percent vegan places to eat, but this was not the case,“ said Chohan, who left a lucrative job as a financial analyst last year to create WHERE TO VEGAN.

“I wanted to do something purposeful and I thought, if I’m having trouble finding vegan places to eat then others must be too. As soon as that became clear I knew I had to do something to change it for the better.”

Leicester-born Chohan, has was vegetarian since 14 and turned vegan on Boxing Day 2018, after spending 8 months travelling in South America. He said: “There are so many awesome vegan food establishments in London and although the vegan food scene is really vibrant, many are still off the radar. WHERE TO VEGAN makes these great vegan eateries super easy to find and the vegan food discounts make the great vegan food taste even better.”
