Construction on Blackpool Pleasure Beach’s newest hotel, the Boulevard is well underway and Managing Director, Amanda Thompson OBE has given the given the work her seal of approval.

The new £12M hotel which is located to the south of Blackpool Pleasure Beach, next to the park’s existing Big Blue Hotel, is scheduled to open in Spring 2019.

During a recent visit to the site, Amanda, accompanied by Hotel Director Martin Jackson, met with Ged Goulden, Site Manager and Steve Jones, Assistant Site Manager from Trueman Builders who showed her the latest work being carried out and explained what has changed since her last visit.

As the visit has fallen on Valentine’s Day, the team at Truman Builders took the opportunity to present Amanda with a box of her favourite Fortnum and Mason chocolates.

The Boulevard Hotel, which is set to open in Spring 2019, and represents a £12M investment. The hotel will see the creation of 30 new permanent jobs and 40 new seasonal vacancies.

The new hotel will boast 120 rooms, including suites and family rooms with a mixture of coastal and park facing rooms.

In addition to the rooms the hotel will include stylish dining and conferencing facilities. These include the Beachside Restaurant, Ocean Bar, Surfside Café and Shoreside Conference Centre.
